Privacy Policy — Effective Date: 12 August 2026

This policy explains what the Muslim Life Guide app collects and why. By using the app you agree to it.

What we do not collect

We have no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask for or store your name, email address, phone number, or any content you write inside the app (such as a custom dhikr).

Location

To calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction, the app asks for your device location. The coordinates are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to the Aladhan prayer-times service, which returns the times for your area. We do not store your location on any server of ours, and we do not share it with anyone else.

You can refuse this permission; the app still works, but prayer times and Qibla will not be available.

Analytics and crash reports

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which screens are used and to receive reports when the app crashes. What is sent is anonymous: screen names, simple counters, and technical crash details (device model, Android/iOS version, error trace). No personal data is included, and we cannot identify you from it.

Advertising

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show and measure ads, as described in Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Subscribers see no ads at all, and no ad requests are made for them.

You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time:

• iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
• Android: Settings > Google > Ads

Content services

The app downloads Quran text, tafsir, recitations, and radio streams from public Islamic content services. These requests carry no personal data — only which page, surah, or station you opened.

Subscriptions

The premium version is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store and Google Play. Payment, renewal, refunds, and cancellation are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We receive only whether a subscription is currently active. Your entitlement is stored on your own device.

You can cancel at any time in Apple ID subscription settings or Google Play subscription settings.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Security and deletion

All user data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). To delete the anonymous analytics data linked to your installation, uninstall the app or clear its data. For anything else, write to us at the address below and we will answer.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the last change.
